This trek is an option for those who don't have much time, yet wish to explore the beautiful landscape and culture of the Himalayas in Nepal. Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is perfect for students, couples, families with kids, or anyone who does not have the energy or capability to do physically demanding treks. You don’t even have to wait for the perfect weather as this trek can be done anytime during the year and no previous trekking experience is required.
Ghorepani Poon Hill trek doesn’t take you to those high altitudes where you have to worry about altitude sickness and extremely cold weather. All you can expect during this trek is amazing views of snow-capped mountains, green lush forests, and villages with different ethnic groups with culture-rich lifestyles. The highlight of this trek is an early morning hike to view the beautiful golden sunrise over the mighty mountains like Annapurna South, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, etc. from Poon Hill. You also get to explore beautiful villages like Ghandruk, Ghorepani, Tadapani, and Ulleri. These villages allow you to experience the hospitable culture and for you to enjoy simple lives away from modern devices and your worldly worries. After 4 days of sightseeing and fun activities in Kathmandu and Pokhara, this trek ends on the 9th day.

Poon Hill Trek 4 Days Route
If you are in Kathmandu, you can either take a flight or a bus ride to Pokhara. You will then have a few hours of ride to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga. You go to Ghorepani from Tikhegaunda the next day. Enjoy the early morning hike to Poon Hill, get back to Ghorepani, and trek to Tadapani. You then trek to Ghandruk and finally Nayapul from there. From Nayapul, you will take a ride to Pokhara following the previous route and get to Pokhara. You can then either take a bus or a flight to Kathmandu.
Ghorepani Trek 4 Days Difficulty
Ghorepani PoonHill Trek is considered to be moderately difficult. The trip demands physical fitness to some extent. There is little to no risk of altitude sickness as Poon Hill is the only station above 3000 m elevations where you will not spend the night. Most of the trail is wide and easy. You will have to ascend steep hills only in some places. You will walk up to 5/6 hours a day. You are recommended to try walking on gentle slopes, hills, or stairs with the daypacks around 6 to 8 kg weight once a week prior to the trip. It will help you adapt well to various kinds of weather.
Weather and Temperature During the Ghorepani Trek 4 Days
The weather and temperature are moderate in the lower Annapurna region. So you can trek to Poon Hill any time of the year. The temperature drops low during the winter, so morning and evening might get chilly but the temperature is bearable. Each season offers its own positive and negative aspects to the experiences of the Poon Hill Trek. Generally, spring and autumn are considered to be the best seasons, as the weather is consistent and calm in these seasons, though the trails may be a bit more crowded.
Food and Accommodation During the Poon Hill Ghorepani Trek 4 Days
During the Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking, accommodations will be tea houses where food like dal bhat, pasta, noodles, potatoes, vegetables, cereals, eggs, rice, soup, etc. can be found. Three meals are provided daily. The meals are simple, yet healthy and sanitary. During your days in Pokhara and Kathmandu, you will stay at 3-star hotels. You will be provided breakfast, though for other meals you can try the various tasty restaurants throughout the city.
