The Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek is designed for travellers who want the achievement of reaching Everest Base Camp without making unnecessary discomfort part of the experience. This private 13-day journey combines classic Khumbu trekking with private helicopter travel, premium accommodation and personal support from a local team.
You begin in Kathmandu and fly privately by helicopter to Lukla before trekking through Monjo, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche and Lobuche. Along the route, you stay in comfortable accommodation with private en-suite bathrooms, hot showers and electric blankets, while your guide and support team take care of the daily logistics.
The biggest difference comes at the highest part of the trek. Instead of sleeping at Gorakshep (5,164 m / 16,942 ft), you return to Lobuche (4,910 m / 16,109 ft) after your Everest Base Camp visit. You reach Everest Base Camp (5,364 m / 17,598 ft) by private horseback, giving you the chance to experience the Khumbu Glacier and stand beneath the Khumbu Icefall without adding another night at higher altitude. The following day, a private helicopter takes you to Kala Patthar (5,545 m / 18,192 ft) before flying you back to Kathmandu.
This is not an attempt to make Everest easy. It is a carefully designed way to experience the mountain with less unnecessary physical strain and more comfort, privacy and personal attention.
